Ned Doyle moved to Western North Carolina in 1979 to work at the original Mother Earth News Eco Village Research Center. A 30 year sustainable energy and environmental activist and advocate, Ned coordinated the Southern Energy & Environment Expo from 2001 until 2010, is currently co-producer of the Green Living Expo at the Asheville Civic Center, co-developing the new sustainable social media website effort “Our Sustainable Community Action Network”. A graduate of Connecticut School of Broadcasting in 1967, Ned has produced and hosted “Our Southern Community” for over ten years, intelligent talk radio that shares the stories of the people and the issues of the environment, energy and economics, now for nearly 15 years. Former Steering Committee member of the Western North Carolina Alliance and past Board Member of the NC Sustainable Energy Association, he remains active in promoting a sustainable and rational future for the next generations.
