In 2013, Richard returned to and enhanced his own musical stream of healing and Divine Alignment with the production of a new album entitled “Bliss of Being.” Richard plays mostly piano on “The Bliss of Being” and is joined by Adriana Contino – cello, Dielle Ciesco – vocals, Kate Steinbeck – flutes, and Bob Hinkle – crystal bowls to form The Pure Heart Ensemble. Since the album’s release, Kim Hughes has replaced Dielle on vocals.
Richard Shulman has become one of the leading musicians in the new age genre over the past few decades. But Shulman also was trained in the classical and jazz fields, and regularly performs and records original jazz with his trio. Shulman has 23 albums under his own name as well as more than two-dozen other recordings for which he has provided compositions, performances or production. Although Shulman’s recordings are varied, he is especially known for creating music for healing, alignment and meditation. Kim Hughes sang opera in New York City. Sacred music and improvisation are two of her passions. She sang in Richard Shulman’s “A Dream of Camelot” production, has performed with him at White Horse Black Mountain (a music venue she owns in Black Mountain, NC) and is also the soloist at St. James Episcopal Church in Black Mountain. Crystal-bowl performer Bob Hinkle has worn many hats during his lengthy musical career — singer, songwriter, poet, recording artist, composer/lyricist, corporate executive, consultant, artist manager, executive producer and record label founder-president. He recorded numerous albums with his trio, The Good Earth, and had a solo album, Ollie Mogus.

Robin William’s remarkable life as a comedian, actor, screenwriter and humanitarian ended abruptly when he succumbed to the suicidal impulses associated with his severe clinical depression. His depression is particularly difficult to comprehend given that he seemed to have it all, a beloved soul cherished by so many. Williams inspired us to live with authenticity, to see the joy and light inherent in our world, and to reach out to those in need. Yet out of the limelight, he wrestled with addictions to cocaine and alcohol, struggling with depression and deep-seated fear of abandonment. He will forever be cherished as a “national treasure” and his life’s work will continue to touch the hearts of countless generations to come.

Raised in the foothills of the Santa Catalina Mountains in the northern part of the Sonoran Desert of Arizona, Scott became acquainted with creatures from the spirit world in all their earthly forms, human, animal, vegetable and even mineral manifestations at an early age. Perfect timing and in synch with the partial enlightenment and expectations of the aquarian age, Scott began, with assistance from certain spirit Allies, the journey in search of the healing medicine and answers to the large questions of life and living. Through altered states of consciousness, physical motion and an open-minded study of both the present, the modern and the ancient masters of the game Scott found that love, indeed, was all that was needed, where it got intense, strange and exceptionally wonderful was in pursuing the quest to understand the meaning, the essence, the actualization and the function of that love. How to make it real.
Enjoy this one-hour podcast with Scott who shared his personal journey through the heart to a life of service and helping the world be a better place!
