Rosanne Kiely, Co-Founder of West Village Market

Rosanne enrolled at Warren Wilson in 1991 and eventually received a bachelors degree in Integrative Studies while working at the French Broad Food Co-op, which she later managed.  In 2002, she and Ron Ainspan (owner of Mt. Food Products) opened Grove Corner Market in the historic Grove Arcade.  After seve years in this location, the moved to West Asheville in 2009 where they found their real home.

Rosanne shares about the evolution of the market and its efforts to offer local, organic, and healthy foods, beverages, and products to the community.  She also shares about some of the wonderful people who work at the Market and the democratic process where employees have a voice in the Market’s operations and vision.  The Market is also having an educational campaign to help people understand the dangers of having GMOs in our food system.
