Gordon is a Child and Family Counselor in private practice with thirteen years of experience working with people from across the community. I am also an elected member of Asheville’s City Council. Gordon graduated from Western Carolina University with a degree in Community Counseling, and in 2003 I became a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Gordon’s counseling approach draws from Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Theory, Narrative Therapy, and Existential Therapy. This eclectic mix draws from my personal outlook and has proven to be helpful in meeting the needs of the people with whom I work. I launched my private practice in 2008 and went solo in August, 2012. He loves Asheville, and finds great satisfaction in offering competent, compassionate service to the people who live here.
