Kelley’s passion is advocating for positive sexuality education. She teaches classes for students of all ages, providing the education needed to help them to grow into sexually healthy adults. As a parent herself, she knows that talking to children about sexuality can create anxiety. She teaches these classes to help provide answers to some of the common questions that kids and teens ask about changes that happen as they grow and have a deeper understanding of love, attraction, relationships, and sexuality. In addition to providing education, Kelley also consults privately with individuals and couples.
Kelley received her BS (Clinical Nutrition) and M.Ed. (Public Health Education) from UNC-G, and her Ph.D. (Human Sexuality) from the Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality. Kelley was the lead educator for the sex education program in Buncombe county and Asheville city school system from 1993 to 1998. From 1995-2010 she taught Women’s Health and Health and Sexuality at UNCA. She has been in private practice since 2010.
