Donna Marie Todd, the Singer of Stories, grew up in the Appalachian mountains of West Virginia where stories are a way of life. She trained in vocal performance at the Peabody Conservatory and has been performing professionally since she was sixteen. She is also a writer and magazine publisher. She published a magazine for young women, LifeDesign, in the Delta region of the SE for a decade and has been the editor of The Biblical Storyteller magazine for the last 8 years. Her stories are finely crafted, moving original works of art, filled with fascinating characters and woven together with song for a performance experience unlike any other.
After years of life in big cities Donna Marie now calls Black Mountain, NC home. She frequently performs at events in the Southeast, but is often called-upon to make appearances across the U.S. and internationally. Her latest projects include developing her one-woman show “A Widow’s Tale” and offering retreats to other widows and widowers, penning two books: the Butterfly Girl Series about the journey women make to self-esteem and the Metamorphosis Project which focuses on the lessons she learned from death.
Enjoy this one~hour podcast with Donna Marie who shares her personal journey of transformation that began when her husband suffered a series of massive heart attacks, leaving her a widow raising her teenage son. Her story is remarkable and she now dedicates her life to helping others discover their own joy, passion, and love for living.
