After years of avid whitewater kayaking, Joe’s chronic back pain led him to his life’s passion, the study and teaching of yoga.
Joe believes, as a yoga teacher, in the power to heal on many levels. Joe enjoys witnessing those blessed moments on the mat when a student connects to her individual beauty and experiences how the body is a vessel for the spirit’s journey. He infuses in his classes a deep, life-affirming philosophy through myths, story-telling, and his own life’s trials and tribulations.
Joe spent ten years studying the Anusara Yoga and feels deep gratitude for this foundation as a teacher. Joe has been teaching yoga full-time since 2006. Joe teaches weekly classes, teacher trainings, therapeutics, immersions, workshops and offers private one-on-one instruction. Joe has been fortunate to be a part of Asheville Yoga Center’s teacher training program as one of the course instructors. Many of his students have expressed their gratitude for his insights into their own healing journey.
