Raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Molly Rose Reed is the child of a musical family and her family gatherings often featured a musical jam where everyone sang and played instruments. Early on, her grandfather’s small church exposed her to lots of singing and performing in front of people. Molly’s first experience with the guitar was on her mother’s classical guitar at the age of 14.  For the next few years, she only knew a few chords so she could sing songs with friends.

Molly became serious about her guitar playing while attending Warren Wilson College and she would become part of a well-known group, the Barrel House Mamas. This band was formed with, among others, Eleanor Underhill. The group had a popular following and they appeared in states throughout the southeast. After the band folded, Eleanor and Molly maintained their harmonious relationship and in 2009, they  created Underhill Rose.  Their first album was released in May of 2011, featuring many notable songs from Molly, including 2000 Miles and the heart-wrenching track, Bridge. This year Underhill Rose releases their 3rd album, The Great Tomorrow, with their signature uplifting harmonies and soul-touching lyrics that give Underhill Rose their fresh Americana sound.
