Ben Herring is  the Volunteer Coordinator for Brother Wolf Animal Rescue,  a No Kill organization and shelter based in Asheville, North Carolina that provides the resources and life saving programs for animals in need!   BWAR’s core ethic of uncompromised compassion is the foundation of their No Kill mission and their unwavering commitment to better the lives of the animals is the guiding force of their work. At any given time, BWAR cares for over 550 dogs and cats, mostly rescued from the county shelter.  BWAR offers adoption and foster services, spay and neutering, a pet food pantry, and a Behavioral Counseling and Youth Education program that helps promote a better understanding of, and respect for, companion animals.

Ben moved to Asheville in 2001 to attend Warren Wilson College and fell in love with the area, living here ever since.  He has been the Volunteer Coordinator at Brother Wolf since May of 2013.  When not helping animals, Ben is the Music Director at Asheville FM and is the host of Feels Like The First Time.
