Ashley Heath is an artist from Marshall, NC who plays a wide range of Americana music. Raised in the foothills of Appalachia, she has developed a strong passion for country, blues, and folk music. You can hear major influences from Eva Cassidy in her velvety vocals too Bonnie Raitt in her bluesy guitar playing!

In March of 2015, Heath decided to go full time into singing and playing music, quit her part time job as a barista in downtown Asheville, and recorded her first album “A Different Stream”. The album was recorded at the amazing Echo Mountain Recording Studios in Asheville, NC with producer Ryan Burns and engineer Clay Miller. “A Different Stream” is a collection of Ashley’s first attempt at songwriting and is a seven song album with six original songs and one cover titled “Ready for The Times to Get Better”.

A Different Stream was released on Friday May 27th, 2016 at The Asheville Music Hall with newly formed band “Ashley Heath and Her Heathens”.  The band brings a more blues and rock feel to the songs and you can expect to hear a mixture of songs from the new album as well as a handful of blues cover tunes at the live shows!

Enjoy this wonderful podcast of Living Well where Ashley shares her inspirations for her music & life and plays a few tunes live in the studio!
